How to get to SIRS Researcher Database
a.  Go to AFHS School Library page --  http://afhslibrary.blogspot.com/ 
b. SCROLL to almost the bottom and on the left side students will see an icon titled SIRS
c.  Login to SIRS using Login:  AMFORKHS  password: caveman
d.  Mid down the page there will be an alphabet list of Research Topics. Click on One.
e.  Scroll through the sight and show students how much of the research has already been organized, they just have to open up and read over articles to learn about the topics.​

Topic #1 -- President Trump recently handed Congress DACA and told them to review the contents of it and either get rid of it or make it law.  Basically, they are tasked with trying to come to an agreement.
Morris’ Class- Against keeping DACA in place.
Nye’s Class- Pro keeping DACA in place.

TOPIC #2 -- Currently there are cities around the U.S., known as sanctuary cities, that are harboring and protecting illegal immigrants for various reasons.  The federal government is now threatening to withhold federal funding to those sanctuary cities that do not comply with federal laws.  This is a state/city rights versus federal rights issue.
